WRIO Keyboard automatically collects data only for the purpose of auto correction, which you can completely disable in the app settings. The data collected is limited to single words that you type, and is stored in a user dictionary. The dictionary only contains a list of words and a count of how many times the word has been typed. The data is retained as long as the app is installed on your device or until you manually erase the user dictionary in the app settings.
Where a field has been flagged by a website or app as denoting a password field or payment information, WRIO Keyboard does not log, store or learn from this information. On iOS, WRIO Keyboard won’t show when entering information in secure text fields; instead, the standard Apple Keyboard will show (see Apple Support Page).
All data collected is exclusively stored locally on your device. WRIO Keyboard does not access the internet and does not transmit any type of data. Consequently, we or third parties do not have access to your data.
WRIO Keyboard also does not collect information about the location of your mobile device.
You can stop all collection of information by WRIO Keyboard easily by uninstalling the app. You can prevent the app from storing any words in the dictionary by deactivating the auto correction feature in the app settings. You are also able to completely erase your user dictionary in the app settings.
Third-party keyboard warnings
You may encounter an alert when installing WRIO Keyboard on your device, warning that third-party keyboards may collect or log sensitive data such as passwords, credit card numbers or street addresses. WRIO Keyboard is designed not to receive, store or transmit any such sensitive data.
This warning appears with all third-party keyboard, whether the keyboard actually collects this type of information or not.
